As a field, Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) suffers from a lack of diversity in the participation of women and underrepresented minorities (URM) at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. iREDEFINE is an annual workshop, funded by the National Science Foundation, focused on increasing the numbers of W-URM holding tenure track faculty or postdoc positions in the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the US. The workshop is in cooperation with the ECE Department Heads Association (ECEDHA), and will be held in conjunction with the ECEDHA Annual Conference and ECExpo.
